Membership Information

Membership dues play a big role in the success of a volunteer fire department. Membership dues go for paying our utilities, mortgage, fuel for the trucks and boats, and the miscellaneous expenses for the fire station. We receive Act 833 monies from the State to be used for fire fighting equipment. Our only other source of funding comes from Grants that we may be eligible for and department fund raisers. The rest of the department expenses such as our shirts, caps, medical supplies, and fuel for personal vehicles are paid for by each firefighter. Membership Dues are $50.00 per year for residential and this includes 1 out building. Commercial dues are based on the number buildings and the hazard level of the business. Commercial owners should contact the Fire Chief for a determination of dues. Dues are annual and due on January 1st. If we are toned out for a fire and you are not a member, you will be charged $250.00 for the call plus $15.00/hour for every firefighter on the scene from Hwy 94 East. A state law recently enacted allows insurance companies to deduct the amount owed to the responding fire department before any reimbursement is made to the policy holder. Members are not charged for fire calls. We do not charge anyone for emergency medical calls.

Dues should be sent to:
