FIRE BOAT
A decommissioned Coast Guard Harbor patrol boat serves as our rapid response water rescue unit. This is a 22' Boston Whaler equipped with twin 155 horsepower out board Mercury motors, Sonar, a 550 gpm pump and a forward mounted deck gun. This boat serves in lake search and rescue calls, pumping water out of sinking boats, fire suppression involving boats, docks and shore line fires. Also, used in fire support for refilling fire engines and tankers when needed.
RESCUE TRUCK
1981 Chevrolet. 1 ton dually. This truck carries emergency medical supplies, an AED, chain saw, traffic control items and equipment used by the dive team.
HUMMER
4 wheel drive allows us to go into remote areas with this vehicle. This personel carrier transports fire suppresion teams into off road areas and serves in rescue calls. This truck carries rakes, shovels, and Indian packs - small portable water bags carried on an individuals back.
PUMPER
1978 American LaFance Engine. 1000 gallon tank. 1250 gpm pump. This truck carries ladders, hose, air packs (SCBA's) and lots of firefighting and rescue tools.
TANKER
1985 GMC General. 2500 gallon tank. 750 gpm pump. This truck carries a 2500 gallon dump tank and is used to bring water in to a scene when a fire hydrant is unavailable.
